Founded by Coping With Laryngomalacia, Inc. in 2015, World Airway Disorders Day is dedicated to raising global awareness, fostering support, and promoting education about airway disorders.

Every July 10, participants are invited to paint their nails light blue, signaling the start of conversations about the importance of recognizing that noisy breathing is never normal.

This year, we are excited to introduce our event theme, "Blooming With Every Breath."

This theme holds profound significance as it symbolizes the unique journey each of our families undertakes. Just like a diverse garden, each family's story reflects resilience, where beautiful flowers—representing hope and strength—bloom despite the storms they have faced.

On July 10, in addition to painting your nails light blue, we encourage families to plant flowers in honor of their journeys with airway disorders. These flowers will serve as a living tribute to the struggles and triumphs every family experiences, reminding us all of the beauty that can emerge in our lives, even in the face of adversity.

Join us in making this day a vibrant and meaningful celebration of strength, resilience, and community!

We understand that some content shared may be upsetting, especially for caregivers currently coping with airway malacia or those suffering from PTSD.

If you feel it would be beneficial, consider muting our social media platforms the week of July 10th to help limit exposure to potentially triggering posts.

Remember, it's completely okay to feel sad on Airway Day – we see you, we care about you.
